MMS NETTERS EDGE SALINA LAKEWOOD!

SALINA – It was close, but the McPherson Middle School girls tennis team still managed to out duel the Salina Lakewood girls and score a 16-12 match victory.

In the singles matches the Lady Junior Pups out scored Salina 10-8 which included shutout wins by Courtney Delaney and Alix Wilson.

Now the double matches got off to a rough start for McPherson as they dropped their first four matches before bouncing back and getting six straight wins, including 6-0 shutouts by the duos of Jordan Martens and Kenny Tully, Jadin Nowell and Courtney Delaney, as well as Cashele Love and Ellana Rush.

Coming up next for the McPherson Middle School girls tennis team will be on Monday, September 23 when they travel south to Maize for the Maize South Invitational before hosting Newton on Tuesday, September 24.
