JUNIOR EAGLES UNBEATEN, BEAT WILDCATS 28-16!

CANTON – The Canton/Galva junior high football team remained unbeaten at 3-0 for the season on Thursday when they hosted Moundridge and pulled away late for a 28-16 victory.

The Junior Wildcats stayed close until late in the fourth quarter when the Junior Eagles scored one more touchdown to ice the game and the 28-16 win.

Jaden Ediger led the Canton/Galva offense by scoring two touchdowns on a run and pass plus added a two-point conversion, while Lane McMannis and quarterback Jordan Duncan also got the ball over the goal line for scores as well. Duncan got credit for the other two-point conversion.

Duncan only threw two passes in the game, but both were completed for scores to Ediger and McMannis.

McMannis had a monster game on defense as he was credited with 12 tackles. He got help on the defensive side from Duncan, Isom Marston, Garrett Pineda and Keaton Ryan who all had several tackles.

Next up for the Canton/Galva Junior Eagles will be next Thursday, September 26 when they travel to Wakefield with game time set for 6:00 p.m.
