BENNINGTON – The Inman High cross country team ran at Bennington on Thursday and the Teuton’s Nicholas Martisko had the top run by finishing fourth in the boys 5K race.

The Teutons did not qualify for the team points as they had but five runners total with Martisko getting a medal and Peter Buller being the only other Teuton running in the boys race.

Hannah Martisko medaled while finishing tenth in the girls 5K run, while Aijsha Miles and Dawn Gunter also ran for the Lady Teutons.

“In the boy’s varsity race, Nicholas (Martisko) finished in the medals by placing fourth,” noted Teuton Head Coach Jay Parsons. “Peter (Buller) ran a respectable time in spite of the fact that he is still recovering from a knee strain injury. In the girls’ varsity race, Hannah (Martisko) finished in the medals placing tenth. Aisjha (Miles) and Dawn (Gunter) also competed in the varsity race and Dawn ran acceptably well by running over a minute fasher than her previous best time.”

Next up for the Teuton harriers will be a trip to Marion on Thursday, September 24, while Nicholas Martisko, Peter Buller, Brenton Thiessen and Aisjha Miles will be running in the Rim Rock Farm High School Classic in Lawrence on Saturday, September 28.
