BULLPUP KICKERS DISMANTLE MULVANE!

The game wasn’t ever close on Tuesday as the McPherson High boys’ soccer team totally dismantled and shut down Mulvane on their way to a 10-0 home victory at McPherson College Stadium.

It was an offensive onslaught in the first half by the Bullpups as they pounded Mulvane for seven goals before the halftime break, including two each by Drew Schrader and Britton Haigh. Other goals were scored by Trenton Stecklein, Samy Jaime and Jael Jaime with both Haigh and Jael Jaime getting credit for three assists each as well.

Haigh got a hat trick when he scored his third goal of the game off an assist from Schrader in the second half. Cody Achilles had a hand in each of the final two goals of the game when he scored one and then assisted on the Bullpups final score of the game by Caden Hardgrave.

One stat that really showed the totally dominance the Bullpups had came with the shots on goal as McPherson had 23 total shots on goal while Mulvane made life easy for goalkeeper Nathan Lloyd has, they did not record a single shot on goal.

The Junior Varsity game played out similarly as the varsity game as the JV Bullpups scored a 4-0 shutout victory over Mulvane. Three of the four goals game unassisted from Josh Everhard, Adolfo Ontiveros and Jovanny Ontiveros, while Conner Olson scored his goal off an assist from Tyler Bontrager.

Connor Glazner earned the shutout in goal for the junior varsity while the Bullpups peppered the Mulvane JV keeper with 12 total shots on goal.

Next up for the Bullpup kickers will be on Thursday, September 26 when they travel to south to tangle with Andover Central.
