LADY EAGLE NORSTROM SIGNS WITH FRIENDS UNIVERSITY!

CANTON – Canton/Galva senior Taryn Nortstrom signed on Thursday to attend Friends University in Wichita for cheer.
The signing was attended by her parents, Eric and Treva Norstrom, along with other family members.
Also attending the signing ceremony were Canto/Galva cheer coaches Treva Prieb and Jennifer Becker, Friends cheer coaches Jill Fenske and Micah Allee and the Canton/Galva High School cheer squad.
During high school, Taryn has been involved in cheer, wrestling and softball.
“I chose Friends because I fell in love with the campus as soon as I stepped on it,” noted Taryn. “Also, the people are so welcoming and caring.”
Explaining how much cheer has meant to her, Taryn continued by saying, “Cheer has always been a part of me, and I don’t know what I would co without it in my life. I’m so excited to pursue my cheer career at the next level.”
Taryn concluded her reflections on signing with Friends by adding, “In high school the rules are so strict, but in college you can have much cooler stunts like baskets and pyramids. Also, I’ve been into the Friends practices and the team is so enthusiastic and outgoing.”
