On Wednesday, October 2, the McPherson Police Department and the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office will host ‘COFFEE WITH A COP’ at the Well in downtown McPherson.
From 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., Officers of the McPherson Police Department and Deputies of the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office would like to come together with community member in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee together. All community members are invited to attend this event at The Well, 1010 N. Main St. in McPherson.
Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Law enforcement officers will be hosting similar events across the country as a way to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
This program aims to advance the practice of Community Policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
