GOESSEL – It proved to be a rough road trip on Tuesday for the Canton/Galva volleyball team as they traveled to Goessel and lost both ends of a triangular to host Goessel and Herington.

In the first match of the evening, the Lady Eagles succumbed in straight sets to Herington (25-15, 25-12) before suffering the same fate, only with a bit more of a battle, to host Goessel (25-16, 25-18).

“We had a rough night on our last league game night,” noted Lady Eagle Head Coach Cloe Hedlund in her post match reflections. “We played two very competitive teams and we were not prepared or game ready on our side of the court. As a team, we have a lot of work to do in the next two weeks.”

Next up for the Lady Eagle spikers will be on Saturday, October 19 when they travel to Solomon for the Wheat State League Tournament.
