SALINA – The McPherson Middle School girl’s tennis team went north on Tuesday for their final regular season match of the season and totally dominated Salina South in a 23-3 victory.

With the victory, the Lady Junior Pup netters finished their regular season unbeaten in dual matches.

Breaking down the match, the Lady Junior Pups went 16-2 in singles play while the doubles teams went 7-1 on the day. Riggs Kuhn, Courtney Delaney, and Cashele Love all scored wins in singles without giving up a single point.

“Our girls played very well against Salina South,” noted MMS girls tennis Head Coach Paul Reichenberger in his post-match reflections. “Winning this dual gives our team victories against each of the other schools in our league, helping the Middle School girl’s tennis team to go undefeated in duals this season. As the season is coming to an end, our girls have their minds set on winning a league championship. I have high expectations for the team heading into the tournament.”

The Middle School girl’s tennis team will close out their 2019 season next Tuesday in Hutchinson at the Pioneer League Tennis Championships to be played at the Fairgrounds Tennis Courts.
