EL DORADO – Running on a cool but slightly windy day, the McPherson High cross country team ran well enough to earn three medals on Saturday at the El Dorado Invitational.

The Bullpup varsity boys finished ninth as a team while earning just one medal from Cody Achilles.

Despite not having enough runners to qualify for the team standings, the Lady Bullpup varsity harriers earned two medals as both Courtney Eickbush and Evie Elder placed in the top-25 for the meet.

“This was the race we were looking for,” exclaimed Bullpup Head Coach Aspen Lott. “The runners did an outstanding job pushing themselves and crushing their goals. El Dorado seems to always be a course we enjoy and compete well on. The effort the team showed today gives us great motivation going into the league meet next week.”

Next Thursday, October 17, the Bullpup cross country runners will run in El Dorado for the AVCTL Cross Country Championship at Wartick Farm.
