SUBLETTE – The Inman football team used a punishing ground game to literally run over Sublette on the road Friday, 53-6.

While Sublette had the ball for 33 more offensive plays (76-43), the Teutons out gained them 569-254 with 513 of those yards coming on a punishing ground game that pounded the host defense with 31 carries. Leading the attack was Kolby Blank who had a career game by picking up 233 yards on just 11 carries while scoring three times from 70, 34, and 4 yards out. Brother Kendyn Blank took the ball just five times but covered 88 yards and scored two touchdowns with those five totes.

In the third quarter, the Teutons gained the final two of their seven scores on a one-yard dive by Justin Schroeder and a short five-yard scamper by Bradon Patterson.

Jace Doerksen, the Teutons quarterback spent most of the day just handing the ball off as he only threw the pigskin four times, completing two for 56 yards with one of those being a 50-yard gain to Kendyn Blank.

One spot of the game which neither team was happy about was the number of yellow flags flying around as Inman was tagged for eight penalties to the tune of 98 yards while host Sublette was nicked 12 times for 103 yards.

Kolby Blank also led the Teutons on defense as he racked up 7.5 tackles, seven of them solo stops. Sam Kleinherenbrink was credited with 5.5 tackles and Carter Brown had 4.5 as well.

With the win, the Teutons evened their season mark at 3-3 as they prep to host Meade on Friday. Meade will come in at 1-5 for the season after losing on Friday, 42-0 to Sedgwick.
