INMAN – Getting back on the court for the Inman boys basketball team was a good thing on Tuesday as they scored a decisive 25-point, 51-26 home court victory over Bennington.

The Teutons put together two opening quarters of consistent basketball by going up 15-9 at the end of the first and then extending that lead out to 31-15 by the halftime break.

While the scoring slowed down, the defense picked up and Inman headed into the final eight minutes of action holding a 21-point, 40-19 advantage before cruising in for the final 25-point win.

Jace Doerksen led the Teutons with 15 points while Kolby Blank joined him in double digits with 12. Both Doerksen and Kyler Konrade connected on a pair of key three-pointers.

“Thought we played okay tonight,” noted Teuton Head Coach Brett Froese during his game reflections. “We have been off it seemed like for a little while. Thought once the game found a flow we played pretty well. Bennington has some athletes and I thought they played super hard. Big game for us on Friday at Moundridge, should be a fun one.”

With victory the Teutons are now a glistening 6-2 for the season and will be back in action on Friday when go on the road to tangle with cross-county rival Moundridge.
