It was a busy weekend for the MAC Wrestling Club as they had wrestlers participating in three different tournaments.

Among the top performers for the MAC Wrestlers was Julian Glover who took gold for getting first in his 12-under, 88 lbs. division at The Tom Faust Memorial Battle of the Midwest Open on Saturday in Derby.

By the end of the weekend eight other wrestlers from McPherson placed second through fourth in their divisions.


Several members of the MAC Wrestling Club will be competing during the upcoming weekend of Saturday and Sunday, January 25 and 26 at the Tournament of Champions held at the Tony’s Pizza Event Center in Salina. The tournament usually draws over 1,000 wrestlers from Kansas and surrounding states.

Here are the results for the weekend involving MAC Wrestling Club wrestlers:

The Tom Faust Memorial Battle of the Midwest Open Tournament in Derby on Saturday, January 18:

1st Place – Julian Glover at 12-under, 88 lbs.

3rd Place – Gavin William at 8-under, 61 lbs.

Also participating were Reid Weber, Parker Hulvey, Noah Garcia, Jaxon Chrislip, Brayden Senecal, and Kaven Byrd.

The Tom Faust Memorial Battle of the Midwest Novice Tournament in Derby on Sunday, January 19:

2nd Place – Eli Reasoner at 10-under, 90 lbs.

3rd Place – Isaac Reasoner at 6-under, 55 lbs. – D

3rd Place – Trace Dearing at 8-under, 46 lbs.

4th Place – Elijah Robinson at 6-under, 40 lbs. – D

4th Place – Eli Brown at 8-under, 52 lbs. – B

4th Place – Krayton Byrd at 12-under, Heavyweight

5th Place – Banks Baldwin at 6-under, Heavyweight

The Ellis Open Wrestling Tournament in Ellis, Kansas on Saturday, January 18:

3rd Place – Colt Harlin at 10-under, 100 lbs.
