GARRISON, ROLFS, RICHARDSON LEAD REDSKINS

BURRTON – On Tuesday the Little River boys basketball team hammered Pretty Prairie in their first round matchup at the Burrton Basketball Tournament with the Redskins winning by 38, 59-21.

The Redskins jumped all over Pretty Prairie in the first quarter, jumping out to a whopping 23-point lead at 27-4 and while Pretty Prairie found some offense in the second quarter, the Redskins kept scoring in bunches and extended their lead out to 28 points at 43-15 at the halftime break.

Jayden Garrison led the Redskins with 21 points which included three three-pointers while also leading the team in steals with four. Joining Garrison in double digits for Little River were Trey Rolfs and Keaton Richardson with 13 and 10 points each. Rolfs lead the team under the basket by grabbing seven rebounds.

Now 8-2 for the season the Little River Redskins will play their semifinal game of the Burrton Tournament on Thursday against Goessel at 7:30 p.m.
