INMAN – It was a low scoring but tight game until the final eight minutes of play when the Inman girls’ basketball team finally put the clamps down on defense and pulled away from Sedgwick for a 12-point, 29-17 victory at home on Friday.

The two teams were knotted up at 8-8 at the end of the first quarter before the Lady Teutons were able to put a small, four-point cushion on the scoreboard and take a 14-10 advantage into the halftime break.

Sedgwick came out in the third quarter and outscored Inman 7-4 to pull within one-point heading into the final eight minutes of play. When the fourth quarter started the Lady Teutons put themselves in shutdown mode on defense and did not give up a single point to the visitors while putting 11 more points in the scorebook for themselves to pull away for the final 12-point win.
