PRATT – The Smoky Valley boys basketball team took an early lead and then held off a late game comeback by Pratt to gain a 10-point, 46-36 road victory at Pratt on Friday.

Jumping out to an early 10-point, 12-2 lead by the end of the first quarter, the Vikings pushed the margin out to 16 at 26-10 by the halftime break.

Coming out of the break, both teams played even with 10 points each in the third quarter before Pratt made a valiant effort to get back into the game and outscored Smoky Valley 16-10 in the final quarter, but the Vikings were able to hold on to return home with the 10-point win.
