INMAN – For the first two quarters the Inman girls’ basketball team hung tough with Sterling before faltering in the second half and losing at home Tuesday, 48-32.

Sterling held a five-point, 15-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter before the Lady Teutons played them even in the second stanza as both teams scored 14 points, leaving Inman with the same five-point deficit going into the halftime break.

While the Lady Teutons only scored two points less than Sterling in the third quarter to head into the final quarter of play trailing by seven, Sterling pitched a defensive shutout in the final quarter to give the visitors the final 16-point win over the Lady Teutons.

Lauren Maurer led the Lady Teutons in scoring with 10 while both Dantlie Raney and Rachel Harman each chipped in with eight.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE INMAN LADY TEUTONS? The Lady Teutons are now 12-6 for the season with the loss to Sterling. They now prep for a short road trip on Tuesday when they head northwest to battle Little River.
