NEW CASE – 15 CASES NOW CONFIRMED POSITIVE!

MCPHERSON – The McPherson County Health Department now is reporting that 15 total confirmed positive cases of the coronavirus disease {COVID-19} have now been determined within the McPherson County area.

The latest identified positive case is a female in her 40’s who is now recovering at home. This case has a known exposure at the group home facility cluster.

At this time, nothing further will be released about the patient.

Please depend on health authorities to provide the most accurate information for the McPherson County area.

If you are experiencing a fever, shortness of breath, or cough – please call your health care provider.

If you do not have a primary health care provider – then please call your local hospital.

REMEMBER – McPherson County is still at high risk for community spread. This is not the time to come out of quarantine in search of getting back to ‘normal’. COVID-19 will likely continue to raise its ugly head in our communities.

McPherson County residents are encouraged to help the community and our health care system flatten the curve and slow the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19. They can do this by:

  • Following the Stay-At-Home Order.
  • Covering all facial areas when covering or sneezing.
  • Washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • Wearing cloth face coverings or homemade masks when out amongst a public area.
