MCPHERSON – The McPherson County Health Department did not wait until Sunday for an update as they have posted an update newly listed at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 that confirms a new reported positive test for the coronavirus disease {COVID-19}.

This now gives McPherson County 16 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease.

The latest identified positive case is a male in his 70’s who is now recovering at home. This case has known exposure at the group facility cluster. At this time, nothing further will be released regarding the patient.

At this point the McPherson County Health Department also still reports that eight total confirmed cases have met recovery guidelines set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Two of the 16 confirmed cases are currently hospitalized. Nothing further will be released at this time about any of the cases.

Please depend on health authorities to provide the most accurate information for McPherson County.

  • Be sure and properly cover up all coughs and sneezes.
