GALLIHER HELPS LADY CRUSHERS GO 4-0 OVER WEEKEND!

The 18U Central Kansas Lady Crushers softball team scored a tournament championship over the weekend after winning all four games played on Saturday and Sunday at Two Rivers Youth Softball Club Complex in Wichita.

The tournament was the 18U Class B State Championship and they won by beating the G2 Heat Llamas, the Davis Flint Hills Wind and then the Honey Badgers twice.

Here are the game summaries plus the team and individual stats from all four games (game changer stats):

GAME 1 – vs. G2 Heat Llamas, Saturday, June 20:

The 18U Lady Crushers opened the weekend on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over the G2 Heat Llamas.

The Lady Crushers scored three runs in the first and then added one run in the second to gain the win.

Erin Durst led the offense attack with two of the team’s five hits in the game while Cayl Lindbloom hit for a double and Haley Miller stole three bases.

Jordan Galliher pitched for the 18U Lady Crushers and held the G2 Heat to just three hits and no earned runs while striking out seven.

GAME 2 – vs. Davis Flint Hills Wind, Sunday, June 21:

It was a one-run ball game in the 18U Lady Crushers first game on Sunday as they scored twice in the first, gave up two in the second and then added a run to their side of the scoreboard in the third before shutting down the Flint Hills Wind and gain a 3-2 win.

Hailey Henson and Teegan Krol each had two hits in the game with one of Krols being a double.

Emma Willison went the first 4.1 innings and gave up six hits, no earned runs and three walks while striking out three. Jordan Galliher came on for the final .2 innings and threw just nine pitches with six being strikes to save the win for the 18U Lady Crushers.

GAME 3 – vs. Honey Badgers, Sunday, June 21:

Jordan Galliher threw a two-hit shutout in game three of the weekend for the 18U Lady Crushers as they scored a 4-0 win over the Honey Badgers on Sunday.

On her way to the win, Galliher gave up just two hits, walked just one and struck out eight.

Eight different Lady Crushers had a base hit, with Erin Durst making her hit a double while Cayl Lindbloom stole a pair of bases.

In the Championship battle, the 18U Lady Crushers played the Honey Badgers for a second time and scored a 5-2 victory after grabbing four runs in the first and another in the second to earn the Class B state championship.

Emma Willison pitched for the Lady Crushers and gave up five hits but just one earned run.

Haley Miller led the team on offense with two hits and three stolen bases while Teegan Krol hit for a double.
