GET A TIE AND A LOSS!

HUTCHINSON – The 10U Central Kansas Crushers baseball team played a pair of games against the Inman Teutons on Tuesday at Fun Valley in Hutchinson and came home with a heartbreaking one run loss and a deadlocked tie.

Here are the game summaries as well as team and individual stats thanks to game changer:

GAME 1 – vs. Inman Teutons, Tuesday, June 23:

In game one of two on Tuesday at Fun Valley in Hutchinson, the 10U Central Kansas Crushers scored three runs in the second but were unable to hold on to the lead and lost to the Inman Teutons 4-3.

Only D.C. Burns, Jayce Jennings and Zander Zahradinik were able to get base hits for the Crushers while six players stole at least one base.

Hayden Gehring worked the mound for the 10U Crushers and threw 36 strikes among 54 pitches while giving up seven hits, the four runs and striking out five.

GAME 2 – vs. Inman Teutons, Tuesday, June 23:

Game two played out to a 2-2 tie in the end with the 10U Crushers giving up two runs in the first two innings while scoring one in the bottom of the second and getting the tying run in the fourth.

The Crushers only managed one hit in the game, with Jaxon Euwer getting credit for it, while they did walk five times. The Crushers stole six bases in the game, including a pair by Landry Schissler.

Bentley Konen pitched all four innings for the 10U Crushers and scattered four hits while walking three and striking out six.
