According to Chief Golden, “We attribute the downward trend in violent and property crimes in our community to the efforts of our citizens and Officers and the positive relationships we have with our community.

Chief Golden also encouraged community members to continue to follow the “#9PMRoutine” by taking the time to light up poorly lit areas, locking all vehicles, homes and garages, and by not leaving property unsecured or in plain view while unattended.

The McPherson Police Department also ask community members to continue reporting suspicious and criminal activity to the McPherson Police Department at (620)-245-1266 or the McPherson County Crime Stoppers at (620)-241-1122.

As Chief Golden emphasizes – We all need to continue working together to keep our community a safe place to live, play, and work.
