LOST SPRINGS – Finally getting the first matches of the seasons in the books, the Canton/Galva volleyball team were unable to complete them with a victory as they dropped all four matches on the road at Centre.

Due to schedule changes the Lady Eagles ended up playing Centre twice, losing the first match in straight sets 11-25, 15-25 before dropping straight sets again in the second match, 18-25, 19-25.

“We were very grateful to finally be playing tonight and be on the court in competition again,” noted Lady Eagle Head Coach Cloe Hedlund. “We improved throughout the night as seen in our scores so the night was successful in that respect. We are missing our starting setter as she is out with a shoulder injury though our secondary setter did a great job filling in.”

Coach Hedlund found promise ahead when she concluded her post match reflections by saying, “All together, we have things to work on in practice this week, but I am pleased with the improvements we made as a team tonight.”

The Lady Eagles will be back on the court Tuesday, September 8th when they travel to Goessel.
