UDALL – It was a night of volleyball that could not have gone much better for the Little River Lady Redskins as they opened their 2020 season with three straight set sweeps on the road over Udall, Fairfield, and South Haven.

Against host Udall, Little River played the tightest two sets of the evening as they won 25-20, 25-16 before hammering Fairfield in their second match of the quad, winning in dominant fashion 25-10, 25-8.

In their final match of the day, the Lady Redskins took it South Haven 25-20, 25-9.

Lady Redskin Head Coach Kim Rolfs was pleased with how the team performed, saying, “Overall, our goal for the night was to just get better. Well that found us coming out with some wins so I am extremely pleased with our first night of play. Between our team having six new faces in the rotation and trying to follow all the COVID-19 guidelines, I did not know what to expect.”

Little River’s junior varsity spikers also came home with a victory as they beat Udall in their only match of the evening, winning 25-23, 25-15.

Next up for the Lady Redskin spikers will be a trip to Goessel on Tuesday, September 8th.
