WAKEFIELD – It was not like they had hoped it would be on a road trip to Wakefield on Tuesday as the Canton/Galva volleyball team returned home with a pair of losses to host Wakefield and Elyria Christian.

After having a very rough first set loss, 12-25, to Elyria Christian, Canton/Galva bounced back and almost pulled out a win in set two before losing by just a pair of points, 23-25.

In their first set with host Wakefield, the Lady Eagles once again lost a heartbreaker by just three points 22-25 before pulling out a 25-19 victory in set two and then running sluggish in the third set and losing the set, 15-25, and the match.

Cloe Hedlund, Lady Eagle Head Coach noted in her post match reflections that, “We played well the second set of the Elyria match. There were lots of times we made errors tonight and that kept us out of system all night.”

Next up for the Canton/Galva volleyball team will have a very busy week as they travel to Goessel on Tuesday, September 22, go to Elyria for a triangular on Thursday, September 24 with Burrton and Elyria Christian before finishing up the week on Saturday, September 26 in Herington for the Herington Tournament.
