DEFEAT WAKEFIELD, ELYRIA CHRISTIAN

LITTLE RIVER – The Little River volleyball team held a quad on Thursday involving Wakefield, Peabody/Burns, and Elyria Christian with the Lady Redskins scoring wins over Wakefield and Elyria Christian.

The Lady Redskins scored a single match win over Wakefield 25-16 before scoring a straight set victory over Elyria Christian (25-20, 25-12).

“Our kids looked really good playing last night,” explained Little River Head Coach Kim Rolfs. “Our junior varsity kids played good and our varsity kids played very consistent as well. Our achilles heel as of late has been giving up several points at crucial times of the match. Last night we recognized when a point was needed and was able to perform.”
The Junior Varsity Lady Redskins beat Wakefield twice 25-7, 25-14, before rolling past Elyria Christian 25-15, 25-12.

Coach Rolfs concluded her post-match reflections by adding, “My hope is we can now build on these two wins and finish the season playing our best volleyball.”
