MOTOR HOME STILL MISSING

MCPHERSON – The McPherson Police Department released information on Wednesday afternoon regarding the latest information referencing a stolen Motor Home from Evergreen Storage on Sunday, October 4.

It has been reported that at the conclusion of a pursuit and search for suspects, Officers of the McPherson Police Department with assistance from the McPherson County Sheriff’s Department, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks were able to arrest two suspects in the theft of the a motor home late last week.

The 2020 Newmar Kountry Star Motor Home valued at $285,000 was reported stolen from Evergreen Storage in the 1800 block of North Main Street in McPherson.

After further investigation, McPherson Police determined the motor home was stolen late in the evening of Saturday, October 3 and they identified three suspects involved in the theft.

Around 10:21 a.m. the morning of Wednesday, October 7, McPherson Police Officers attempted to stop two of the suspects in a vehicle near the intersection of Centennial Drive and Northview Road, but the driver refused to stop and fled the scene.

McPherson Police Officers, joined by McPherson County Sheriff’s Deputies, then pursued the vehicle through McPherson County.

After the Officers lost sight of the vehicle for a short time, they then found the vehicle unoccupied in the 2300 Block of 12th Avenue. Troopers and K-9’s from the Kansas Highway Patrol and Officers with Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks assisted with locating and arresting the two suspects.

Law Enforcement Officers are still looking for the 2020 Newmar Kountry Star Motor Home, which is tan in color, with maroon and brown in color graphics on the sides, and stripes on the back.
