HERINGTON – The Canton/Galva volleyball team hit a buzzsaw and a bump on Tuesday on the road at Herington as they lost both matches in a triangular with Herington and Solomon.

Against host Herington the Lady Eagles ran into a virtual buzzsaw as Herington dominated both sets (6-25, 6-25) to win the match.

After bouncing back to win the first set against Solomon (25-10), Canton/Galva faltered and came up short in both the final two sets (20-25, 19-25) in their loss.

“We played a very talented Herington team,” noted Lady Eagle Head Coach Cloe Hedlund. “They had some strong hitters all around and that was great competition.”

Coach Hedlund concluded her post-match reflections by saying, “We fought hard against Solomon and came out with a lot of hitting power in the first set. We got down in the second sets and just could not catch up. The ladies played extremely hard and kept good energy throughout the game.”
