LITTLE RIVER – Outside of their two losses to ranked teams, the Little River football team continues to take care of business as they raised their season mark to 4-2 on Friday with a home routing of Bennington 56-6.

Once again it was the Graham Stephens and Jayden Garrison show for the Redskins with a little help from Braxton Lafferty and Graham’s younger brother Grant.

Stephens and Garrison shared time at quarterback and combined to complete six of eight passes for 85 yards and four touchdowns, with two of those going for 11 and 14 yards from Stephens to Garrison and a pair going for 30 and 4 yards from Garrison to Lafferty.

Garrison also ran for a pair of scores on runs of 49 and 30 yards while Grant Stephens ran a kickoff back 40 yards for a score and older brother closed the game out in the third quarter with a 47 yard scoring scamper.

As a team, Little River totaled up 263 yards of offense on just 19 plays which included 178 yards rushing on just 11 carries while holding Bennington to just 169 yards on 45 offensive plays.

Eleven Redskins recorded a tackle by their name on the stat sheet with Graham Stephens leading the way with seven total tackles that included three that resulted in a loss of yardage for Bennington.

Next up for the Redskins will be another home game on Friday, October 16 with Herington who will come into the game with a 2-4 mark after losing 50-0 to top ranked Canton/Galva on Friday.
