DOILE, SHIPMAN, BRITTING TOP SCORERS

SALINA – For the first time in five games this season, the McPherson Middle School 7th grade girls basketball teams tasted defeat on Thursday as they lost both games on the road at Salina South.

Both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams are now 4-1 for the season.

In the 7th grade ‘A’ game, the Junior Lady Pups struggled with offense and lost 28-10 as Brooke Doile was the leading scorer with just four points.

For the ‘B’ team, the Junior Lady Pups lost a close, hard fought battle 26-21 as Kamri Shipman and Hannah Britting led the scoring attack with eight and six points respectively.

Next up for the 7th-grade Junior Lady Pups will be a home battle with visiting Salina Lakewood.

‘A’ TEAM vs. Salina South – Lost 10-28: Brooke Doile 4; Addysen Patrick 2; Maryn Sandbo 2; Jensyn Alexander 1; Andi Buschbom 1.

‘B’ TEAM vs. Salina South – Lost 21-26: Kamri Shipman 8; Hannah Britting 6; Elley Paulsen 4; Addison Shaft 2; Adelyn Barrow 1.
