By William

INMAN – While the Inman Teuton football team finished the season with a disappointing loss in the Class 1A semi-finals, they have begun to pick up plenty of post-season hardware as they dominated the Class 1A All-District 3 football team recently named.

Carter Brown, a stalwart Teuton player on both offense and defense took home the District 3 Defensive Player of the Year Award, while also earning unanimous first team offense as a kicker and unanimous first team defense as a linebacker.

Other Teuton players who earned unanimous first team honors were sophomore Eli Brunk at tight end and junior Kyler Konrade at linebacker.

With seven Teutons named first team offense, others included quarterback Jace Doerksen, running back Kendyn Blank, wide receiver Derick Johnson and offensive lineman Cole Hase and Darien Dawes.

Joining Brown and Konrade on the first team defense were Dawes at defensive line, and both Doerksen and Blank in the defensive backfield.

Freshman Tanner Heckel gained second team All-District honors on both offense as a wide receiver and defense as a defensive back.

Four other Inman players earned honorable mention honors.
