NEUFELD, MARTISKO TO LEAD LADY TEUTONS

By William

INMAN – While the Inman girls basketball team had many successes in 2019-20, the Lady Teutons will be pressing hard to do better than last seasons 14-7 record as they begin 2020-21 with a clean slate for a starting lineup.

Lady Teuton Head Coach Bill Maurer heads into the new season missing all five starters from a year ago as four graduated and one chose not to play basketball.

Thanks to several years of building some depth on the squad, the Lady Teutons cupboard is not completely bare as they will count on returning senior forward Raegan Neufeld and junior guard Hannah Martisko to lead this season’s team. Among the other returnees/newcomers to give the team some help will be two sophomore’s, guard Maci Neufeld and forward Kadence Welch.

Coach Maurer is hoping the many new faces gain quick experience as they open the season with a tough first two weeks that include a road trip to Minneapolis, three games in four days at the Moundridge Pre-Season Tournament and then another road trip to Sterling.

Here is a season preview of the 2020-21 Inman Lady Teutons:
