ALL 5 BEING LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES

MCPHERSON – According to the latest listings posted Wednesday morning on the public website for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), McPherson County has five (5) facilities listed as Cluster Exposure Facilities.

While it is two less than the previous report a week earlier, three of the five are new to the listing this week.

Among the facilities listed a week ago that were removed include Bethany College, Central Christian College, MCDS, Pine Village and Johns-Manville.

New to the list are McPherson Health and Rehab, Pleasant View, and Riverview Estates.

The current five (5) facilities totaled 82 active cases, the same as the previous week with seven (7) being the fewest and thirty-eight (38) being the most. All the cases are considered current active cases reported within the past 14 days.

Those facilities listed are:

Bethany Village in Lindsborg with thirteen (13) current active cases.

McPherson Health and Rehab in McPherson with sixteen (16) current active cases.

Pleasant View in Inman with thirty-eight (38) current active cases.

Riverview Estates in Marquette with seven (7 current active cases.

The Cedars in McPherson with eight (8) current active cases.

Other numbers showing up on Wednesday for McPherson County as shown on the KDHE website, COVID-19 UPDATE:

  • Latest numbers show McPherson County has 60.5 positive tests per 1,000 tests taken (the state of Kansas is currently showing an average of 203.9 positive cases per 1,000 tests).
  • McPherson County is currently showing a testing rate of 250.2 per 1,000 residences.
