BELL, CRAIG, PETERSON TOP LADY EAGLES

It has been a rough week for the Canton/Galva girls basketball team as they have suffered losses in both the games they have played as part of the Goessel Bluebird Classic.

On Monday, the Lady Eagles ran into a buzzsaw with Little River and lost 66-22 before tangling with Central Christian on Tuesday and suffering their second loss of the week, 66-36.

In the game with Little River on Monday, Alexa Bell led the Lady Eagles with 10 points while Emily Peterson had six. Mimi Craig and Peterson did their best to hold their own in the paint as they recorded nine and seven rebounds, respectively.

On Tuesday, Alexa Bell once again topped the Lady Eagles in scoring with 14 while Sage Toews had eight and Mimi Craig chipped in with six. Craig also led the team in rebounds with five and assists with four.

CANTON/GALVA LADY EAGLE INDIVIDUAL STAT LEADERS vs. Little River:

Alexa Bell = 10 points with 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

Emily Peterson = 6 points with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Aleah Peres = 2 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal.

Sage Toews = 2 points with 2 rebounds.

Mimi Craig = 2 points with 9 rebounds.

CANTON/GALVA LADY EAGLE INDIVIDUAL STAT LEADERS vs. Central Christian:

Alexa Bell = 14 points with 2 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists.

Sage Toews = 8 points with 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 assists.

Mimi Craig = 6 points with 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 assists.

Emily Peterson = 4 points with 1 rebound, 2 steals and 1 assist.

Emma Herrera = 2 points and 1 steal.

Katie Eagle = 2 points with 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
