GARRISON, BROWN EARN HONORS

For the 2021 Kansas Shrine Football Game scheduled for June 26 at Hutchinson’s Gowans Stadium, McPherson County will be represented by two players.
Carter Brown of Inman and Jayden Garrison of Little River will both be playing for the West squad. Garrison will be the 8-Man selectee for the 11-Man game.
Garrison led the Little River Redskins to the 8-Man Division I state championship this past season while rolling up 206.1 yards of offense per game.

Garrison did it all for Little River as he completed 37-of-58 passes for 721 yards and 13 touchdowns, caught 14 passes for 281 yards and eight touchdowns while also rushing for 1,677 yards on 165 carries and another 37 scores. For the season Garrison also recorded just one fumble and did not throw any interceptions.
When you combine his totals of rushing, receiving, kickoff returns, punt returns and interception returns, Garrison totaled 2,480 yards.
On defense Garrison recorded 86 tackles with 57 of those being solo stops.
Carter Brown was a top defensive player for Inman as he was defensive player of the year for Class 1A District 3 after accumulating 126 tackles of which 45 were solo and nine recorded a loss of yardage.

On offense, Brown was an all-district kicker as he connected on 45-of-51 extra point attempts while also rushing for 262 yards on 49 carries and catching eight passes for another 94 yards and totaling nine touchdowns.
