CONCORDIA – In the first wrestling meet since the extended holiday break, the McPherson Junior Varsity wrestlers fared well on Friday at the Concordia Junior Varsity Invitational.

According to sources, Bullpup Wrestling Coach Doug Kretzer noted that the meet ran longer than planned and it was decided to end it early without any of the final matches being completed.

The JV Bullpups did themselves well as four individual finished the day unbeaten at 3-0, including Hayden Farley at 132, Skylar Lockard at 138, Landon Thompson at 152 and Conner McVicker at 285. Both Kale French at 145 and Kamdynn Clark at 170 finished their day at 2-1.

Next up for the Bullpup JV wrestlers will be a home dual meet with El Dorado on Thursday, January 14.


132 lbs. = Kaden Harold went 1-2.

132 lbs. = Hayden Farley finished 3-0.

138 lbs. = Skylar Lockard finished 3-0.

145 lbs. = Kale French went 2-1.

152 lbs. = Landon Thompson finished 3-0.

152 lbs. = Malek Anderson went 1-2.

152A lbs. = Ethan Wagner went 1-2.

170 lbs. = Kamdynn Clark went 2-1.

182 lbs. = Caden Burris went 1-2.

195 lbs. = Carter Spotted Elk went 1-3.

285 lbs. = Conner McVicker finished 3-0.
