BELL, PETERSON, CRAIG LEAD LADY EAGLES

SOLOMON – The Canton/Galva girls basketball team may be finding their groove as they won their second game in a row on Monday with a nine-point, 58-49 win over Solomon.

Not only was it their second win in a row, but it is also their third victory out of four games in seven days.

Leading the way for the Lady Eagles offense was Alexa Bell and Emily Peterson with 17 and 16 points respectively while Mimi Craig chipped in with 10.

Brecken Pearson topped the team in the paint by grabbing seven rebounds though both Bell and Peterson pulled down five caroms each and Bell also led the defense by making nine of the teams 16 steals.

Now 3-6 for the season, the Lady Eagles will prep for next weeks Sedgwick Girls Invitational beginning on Monday, January 25.
