MARION – The Moundridge girls went on the road Tuesday and used a huge offensive first half to power their way to a dominating 50-20 win over Marion.

After storming out to a commanding 15-point, 17-2, lead by the end of the first quarter, the Lady Wildcats pushed their advantage to 30-points by the halftime break at 35-5 before cruising in for the victory.

Kate Eichelberger led the Lady Wildcats with 17 points while also pulling down a team leading eight rebounds and blocking three shots.

Erin Durst and Kindall Elmore each reached double digits in scoring as well with 12 and 11 points with Elmore being a perfect 2-2 on three-pointers. Erin and Emily Durst each helped lead the Moundridge offense by dishing out four assists.

Lady Wildcat head coach Vicky Kessler has a brief reflection on the dominating win when she noted, “We had a lot of different combinations on the floor tonight and it was great to see everyone contribute.”

Now 12-4 for the season, the Moundridge girls will be back at home on Friday when they play host to Remington.
