ECK, BOUGHFMAN, RENKEN LEAD LADY REDSKINS

HERINGTON – Game two of a busy week for the Little River girls proved to be a success as they went on the road Thursday and scored a 50-35 win over Herington.

Now 13-3 for the season, the Lady Redskins will be back on the road Friday for game three of the week as they do battle at Elyria Christian.

“Got another big win tonight,” noted Lady Redskin Head Coach Brent Clark. “We played well defensively again tonight and had a pretty good offensive night as well.”

Little River had a comfortable early eight-point, 13-5 lead by the end of the first quarter and hung on to that same lead of eight, 22-14, heading into the halftime break before throwing 21 points on the scoreboard in the third quarter to push their advantage out to 19 before finishing up with the final hard earned 15-point victory.

Alaina Eck had a great night as she led the Lady Redskins with 16 points which included 3-of-4 from the three-point line and 6-of-7 overall from the field.

Lily Boughfman had another one of her consistent games by putting 14 points on the scoreboard while also grabbing six rebounds, making five steals, and blocking a pair of shots.

While McKenzie Renken only scored on one three-pointer, she managed the team offense by dishing out 11 assists while pulling down four rebounds and two steals.
