MARION – A huge first two quarters by the Inman boys offense combined with some stout defense helped power the Teutons to a dominating 68-23 win on the road at Marion on Friday.

The Teutons put 23 points on the scoreboard in the first quarter than another 27 in the second while holding Marion to just seven total including no points in the second quarter on their way to a 50-7 halftime lead before cruising in for the final 45-point victory.

“We got off to a good start tonight and kept it going,” noted Teuton Head Coach Brett Froese. “The boys shot the ball well tonight and I was proud of the kids and their effort. This team is still showing improvement as we have more upside to go.”

Eleven Teutons put at least two points by their name in the scorebook, led by Tanner Heckel with 14 and Jace Doerksen who chipped in with 11 while Eli Brunk had nine and Derick Johnson scored eight.

The win give Inman a 7-9 mark for the season as they prep for a very busy week as they play host to Ell-Saline on Monday, travel to Remington on Tuesday and then host the number one team in the state, Little River on Friday.
