INMAN – Recently the Inman baseball program announced that one of their seniors, Carson Munoz, had signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Hesston College.

Munoz is the son of Chris and Sara Munoz of Inman and has been a four-year starter for the Teuton baseball team.

According to Teuton Head Baseball Coach matt Mikulecky, “Carson (Munoz) has been a varsity starter at Inman since his freshman year. His versatility has been huge for us, playing multiple positions and giving us innings on the mound as an underclassman. His dedication to strength and conditioning, and his physical growth has paid huge dividends as he had developed into an elite pitcher with a hard fastball and wicked off-speed pitch.”

Munoz has averaged 10.3 strikeouts per nine-innings pitched in his Teuton career with the fall 2020 season showing an impressive 22 2/3 innings pitched with 25 strikeouts, and a 3.18 earned run average against some high-level competition.

Coach Mikulecky concluded his reflections on Munoz by adding, “We looked for him to be an impact pitcher last season for Inman before it was cancelled due to COVID-19. His ‘stuff’ on the mound will translate very well to the next level. I am super happy for Carson and excited to see him compete this spring and in the future at Hesston College.”
