NEW COACH, REVITALIZED PROGRAM

By William

INMAN – The Inman Teuton track program is fielding one of the largest squads it has had in several seasons and that along with revitalizing the program under first year coach Lance Sawyer, they are looking for good things in 2021.

Here is an outlook for the season of the Teuton track & field team:

A LOOK AT 2021 FROM THE COACH:

According to Coach Lance Sawyer the Teutons have many strengths.

“We have the largest track team that we have had in a long time with 39 athletes,” Coach Sawyer reflected on. “Our athletes are as fast and strong as we have ever had. I do believe that we can compete in every track meet and expect to have several compete for a place in the state meet at the end of the season.”

KEY LOSSES TO GRADUATION/TRANSFERS:

A combination of being the new coach and the loss of the 2020 season due to the pandemic, no mention was made of those Teuton track athletes who participated in 2019 and then graduated in 2020 without having a senior season.
