30 RUNS IN 2 GAMES

LINDSBORG – It was a highly successful day for the Smoky Valley baseball team as they scored a decisive sweep of a doubleheader at home over Nickerson, winning the first game 12-2 before shutting out the visitors by a whopping 18-0 in the nightcap on Tuesday.
The Vikings jumped out to a five-run lead in the first inning of GAME ONE, and then added two in the third and another five in the fifth inning to earn the final 12-2 victory.
George Moore was the winning pitcher on the mound for Smoky Valley while Ty Miller led the offense with a double.
In GAME TWO, the Vikings jumped all over the Nickerson pitching with 14 runs in the first inning and then added four more in the second, making the nightcap a short, three-inning game and getting the 18-0 shutout win.
Kade Blanchat was the winning pitcher for Smoky Valley.
On offense, the Vikings knocked out four doubles by George Moore, Trayton Miller, Haven Lysell-Stewart and Kade Blanchat while both Nolan Dauer and Brandon Malm powered out triples and both Blanchat and Moore smashed home runs.
Next up for the Vikings will be another home battle on Thursday with Pratt.
