MCPHERSON – The Smoky Valley junior varsity track/field team participated in the seven-team McPherson Junior Varsity Invitational on Thursday and the Lady Vikings placed third while the Viking boys finished seventh.

For the Lady Vikings, the highlights were first place finishes by Madison Oakes in the 400 meters and Rylee Ebert in the 800 meters. Gabby Behanna was the next highest finish with a second place in the long jump.

The second-place finishes by Sebastian Pavlovich in the 3,200 meters and Justin Holt in the discus were the top performances by the Viking boys.
