BELLE PETERS HAS 3 – #1, LAMBERT HAS 1

LINDSBORG = The Smoky Valley track/field teams are well represented in the latest rankings of top performers in Class 3A for Kansas with the Lady Vikings being ranked in the top-10 in 13 events while the Viking boys rank in the top-10 in three.
Leading the way for the Lady Vikings is Belle Peters who currently (as of April 26) was ranked first in three events – the pole vault, the 200 meters, and the 100 meters while ranking third in the long jump. In the 800 meters, Smoky Valley’s Gracie Lambert is also ranked first.
Among those who rank in the top five in an event, Belle Peters is ranked third in the 110 hurdles, Breanne Peters is ranked third in the pole vault while both the 4×400 and 4×800 meter relay teams are currently ranked second in Class 3A.
On the boys side, the top ranking for a Viking athlete is Ryan Heline who is ranked fifth in Class 3A for both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters.

4×400 Meter Relay = 2nd Lady Vikings.
4×800 Meter Relay = 2nd Lady Vikings.
Long Jump = 2nd Belle Peters.
Pole Vault = 1. Belle Peters; 3rd Breanne Peters; 6th Noelle Peters.

800 Meters = 8th Lukas Apel.
1,600 Meters = 5th Ryan Heline.
