MCPHERSON – On Thursday, May 27, the McPherson County Health Department showed that there were 23 new cases of COVID-19/Coronavirus within McPherson County since the Thursday, May 13 – or in two weeks.

The report shows that McPherson County has now recorded 3,348 while cases claiming to be or considered recovered according to the recovery guidelines set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment or passed away while sick was 3,246 with 13 cases considered being active.

Continued good news – the report showed that currently there are no individuals hospitalized due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus and there have been no new deaths tied to it as well.

UPDATED CASE DATA (# change since last report on Thursday, May 13):

  • New cases since last public release = 23
  • Cases with known exposure = 1, 756 (+ 11)
  • Cases with an unknown exposure = 1,592 (+ 13)
  • Cases involving those individuals 60 years and older = 1,003 (+ 3)
  • Cases involving those individuals 50-59 years old = 456 (+ 3)
  • Cases involving those individuals 40-49 years old = 430 (+ 2)
  • Cases involving those individuals 30-39 years old = 431 (+ 3)
  • Cases involving those individuals 18-29 years old = 678 (+ 9)
  • Cases involving those individuals under 18 years old = 350 (+ 4)
  • Female involved cases = 1,751 (+ 12)
  • Male involved cases = 1,597 (+ 11)
  • Those cases requiring Hospitalization (May not represent current hospitalizations) = 138 (+ 1)
  • Those cases requiring ventilation (May not represent any current ventilated cases) = 21 (no change)
  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 89 (no change)
  • Male COVID patients who have died = 59 total, (no change): 90+ (11); 80-89 (19); 70-79 (14); 60-69 (9); 50-59 (1); 40-49 (2); 30-39 (2)
  • Female COVID patients who have died = 30 total, (no change): 90+ (12); 80-89 (11); 70-79 (3); 60-69 (4); 50-59 (0); 40-49 (0); 30-39 (0)
  • Deaths by age = 90+ (23); 80-89 (30); 70-79 (18); 60-69 (13); 50-59 (1); 40-49 (2); 30-39 (2).
