TEUTON BOYS FINISH IN T0P 10 AT STATE

HARRISON BRUNK, TANNER HECKEL EARN 4 MEDALS EACH

WICHITA – While they may have not won any events directly, the Inman track/field team still made a solid show of their talent on Saturday in Wichita at the Class 2A State Track/Field Meet as the Teuton boys did enough to finish in the top 10 overall at 8^th with 31 points while the Lady Teutons came in 17^th with 16.

For the Teuton boys, they were led by Harrison Brunk who earned four medals by finishing third in the 100 meters, fifth in the 200 meters while also anchoring both the third place 4×100 meter relay team and the fifth place 4×400 meter relay quartet.  

Freshman Tanner Heckel also gained four medals as he place fifth in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump while running a leg on both the relay teams along with Brunk, Dawson Mannebach and Kendyn Blank.

The Inman boys placed in points in seven of the eight events they competed as Eli Brunk and Jace Doerksen ran sixth and eighth in the 300-meter hurdles.

For the Lady Teutons, Claire Thiessen finished third in the shot put while Madilyn Heflin placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles and Madelyn Brunk ran seventh in the 800 meters. The Inman girls 4×400 meter relay quartet of Brunk, Dantlie Raney, Madison Burge, and Heflin finished sixth as well.
