UP 46 CASES IN 3 WEEKS

MCPHERSON – On Tuesday, July 27, the McPherson County Health Department reports showed there have now been 3,454 cases testing positive, an increase of 46 new cases since our last reporting the numbers on July 6.

The report also showed that 3,333 cases were claimed to be or considered recovered according to the recovery guidelines set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment or passed away while sick. The county shows 36 active cases as of July 27, an increase of 26 since we last reported numbers.

Once again, the good news is that only two individuals are currently hospitalized due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus and we have not recorded any new deaths since we last posted an update on July 10.

UPDATED CASE DATA (# change since last report on Thursday, June 10):

  • New cases since our last report = 46
  • Cases with known exposure = 1,804 (+ 20)
  • Cases with an unknown exposure = 1,650 (+ 26)
  • Cases involving those individuals 60 years and older = 1,025 (+ 6)
  • Cases involving those individuals 50-59 years old = 467 (+ 4)
  • Cases involving those individuals 40-49 years old = 449 (+ 12)
  • Cases involving those individuals 30-39 years old = 453 (+ 10)
  • Cases involving those individuals 18-29 years old = 697 (+ 9)
  • Cases involving those individuals under 18 years old = 362 (+ 4)
  • Female involved cases = 1,806 (+ 13)
  • Male involved cases = 1,648 (+ 23)
  • Those cases requiring Hospitalization (May not represent current hospitalizations) = 143 (+ 2)
  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 89 (no change)
  • Male COVID patients who have died = 59 total, (no change): 90+ (11); 80-89 (19); 70-79 (14); 60-69 (9); 50-59 (1); 40-49 (2); 30-39 (2)
  • Female COVID patients who have died = 30 total, (no change): 90+ (12); 80-89 (11); 70-79 (3); 60-69 (4); 50-59 (0); 40-49 (0); 30-39 (0)
  • Deaths by age = 90+ (23); 80-89 (30); 70-79 (18); 60-69 (13); 50-59 (1); 40-49 (2); 30-39 (2).

STATE VACCINATION AND COVID-19 #’s (As reported Tuesday, June 8):

  • Total Vaccinations Given: 2,523,820
  • Total # of COVID-19/Coronavirus Cases: 328,755
  • Total # of Deaths: 5,243
  • Total # that have been Hospitalized: 11,541

UPDATED TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS (these do not apply if you have been fully vaccinated for at least 2 weeks and are considered asymptomatic)

Both the KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) and MCHD (McPherson County Health Department) continue to mandate a 10-day quarantine for Kansans if:

  • Traveled on or after June 17 to the countries of Kuwait, Mongolia, or Saint Martin
  • Traveled on or after June 3 to the countries of Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, or Suriname
  • Traveled on or after May 30 to countries of Costa Rica or French Guiana
  • Traveled on or after May 6 to the countries of Maldives or Seychelles
  • Traveled on or after April 22 to the countries of Argentina or Bahrain
  • Traveled on of after April 8 to the country of Uruguay
  • Traveled between June 3 and June 17 to the countries of Trinidad or Tobago
  • Traveled between May 6 and June 17 to the country of India
  • Attended/Traveled to a mass gathering event out-of-state of 500 people or greater where individuals did not keep 6-foot distances and wear masks
  • Traveled on a cruise ship or took a river cruise
