INMAN GOES 5-0, MOUNDRIDGE TAKES 5TH

INMAN – On Saturday, the Inman volleyball team opened their 2021 season by hosting a six-team, round robin invitational and rolled through the competition to begin the season with an invitational championship win.
The Lady Teutons lost just one of 11 matches they played as they swept Central Christian, Cunningham, Sedgwick, and Remington before cross county rival Moundridge pushed them to a three-set match before Inman could claim victory. Only Central Christian and Sedgwick played within a pair of points of the Lady Teutons until the Lady Wildcats beat them 26-24 in their opening match.
Moundridge did not fare as well as they dropped the first three matches they played against Sedgwick, Remington, and Central Christian before beating Cunningham for the lone match win of the day. Besides the three set loss to Inman, the Lady Wildcats did push both Remington and Central Christian to three sets as well, giving them a total of 13 sets of play for the day.
The Lady Teutons will be back on the court on Tuesday, August 31 when they play host to Centre and Canton/Galva. Matches begin at 4:00 pm.
The Moundridge Lady Wildcats will return to action on Tuesday as well when they travel to Ell-Saline with matches beginning at 5:00 pm.
