MCPHERSON – The McPherson Middle School girls tennis team dominated Derby on Thursday, winning 11-0.

“Our girls bounced back today and played some great tennis against Derby,” noted Paul Reichenberger, Junior Lady Pup head coach. “Everyone on the team was able to get a win which has never happened before while I have been coaching.”

The Junior Lady Pups swept all eight of the single matches with four of them being shutouts as well as Avery Eveland, Dragon Rodriguez, Ava Miller and Abby Fry all scored 6-0 wins.

McPherson also dominated the doubles with three wins, outscoring Derby 18-2.

The Junior Lady Pups will be busy next week as they travel to Prairie Hills on Monday, participate in the Hutchinson Middle School Invitational on Tuesday before closing out the week hosting Salina Lakewood on Thursday.
