MCPHERSON – The county continues to roll along with at least 10 new cases per day on average of Covid-19/Coronavirus as the newest report from the McPherson County Health Department on Tuesday showed 84 new cases in the past week.

This now gives McPherson County 4,172 total cases overall while they also report that 3,974 are considered recovered with 108 still listed as active cases.

The youngsters are once again the hardest hit for number of new cases as 27 new positives were reported for those ages 0-17, while those over the age of 60 had 20 new cases.

As for vaccinations, McPherson County rose just .5% in the past week to 46.6% overall of fully vaccinated while 83.4% of those over the age of 65 have been vaccinated.

The latest report also showed that there has been 136 breakthrough cases testing positive with only six of those needing hospitalization and three having died.

  • Cases involving those individuals 18-29 years old = 865 (+ 9)
  • Cases involving those individuals under 18 years old = 510 (+ 27)
  • Female involved cases = 2,176 (+ 46)
  • Male involved cases = 1,996 (+ 38)
  • Those cases requiring Hospitalization (May not represent current hospitalizations) = 175 (+ 2)
  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 9089 (+ 1)
